Delete your Spliteso account
Last updated 25 August 2026.
From the app, in two taps. Open Spliteso, go to Settings, choose Delete my account, and confirm. It happens immediately — there is no waiting period and nobody has to approve it.
If you cannot open the app
Write to [email protected] from the email address the account uses, and ask for it to be deleted. Sending it from that address is what proves the account is yours; if you write from another one you will be asked to confirm from the account's address first. Requests are acted on within 30 days, and in practice far sooner.
What is deleted
- Your email address, your name and your profile picture.
- Your password, and any link to a Google account.
- Every session and every device notification token, so nothing can sign in or reach you again.
- Your subscription record. Cancel the subscription in Google Play as well — Play is what bills you, and deleting the account here does not stop a payment there.
- Any group whose only member was you, along with everything in it.
What stays, and why
The expenses you shared with other people keep their amounts. They are not only your record: erasing your share of a dinner would silently rewrite what everybody else at that table owes. So those entries survive, credited to a deleted account with no name and no address attached, and nothing in them can be traced back to you.
The one case where it is refused
Deletion is refused while money is still open, or while you own a group other people are still in — otherwise a group would be left with no owner, or somebody would be left owed by an account that no longer exists. The app names exactly what is in the way, for example “Barcelona Flat: 479.35 EUR still open” or “hand the group over first”. Settle the balance or hand the group to somebody else, and deletion goes through.
Before you go
Settings → export gives you a complete copy of everything the service holds about you: your account, your groups, and every expense, payment, comment and receipt record. Take it before deleting, because afterwards there is nothing left to export.
